Seasonal Full-Time Position
Crystal Aggregate Materials is a growing aggregate producer serving contractors, municipalities, trucking companies, and homeowners throughout Northern Michigan. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused individual to operate our scale house and serve as the primary point of contact for customers, truck drivers, and visitors during the construction season.
The successful candidate will be dependable, punctual, and committed to being at work every scheduled day. Reliability is essential, as the scale house serves as a critical part of our daily operation and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Weigh trucks entering and leaving the facility
- Process scale tickets and customer transactions
- Answer phones and assist customers with product inquiries
- Communicate with loaders, truck drivers, and plant personnel by radio
- Enter orders and customer information into company software
- Maintain accurate daily records and documentation
- Monitor truck traffic and assist with general scale house operations
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
Qualifications
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability are required
- Friendly and professional customer service skills
- Ability to stay organized and multitask during busy periods
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively by phone and radio
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Prior experience in construction, trucking, dispatching, agriculture, aggregates, or customer service is helpful but not required
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Typical hours: 6:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Seasonal full-time position
