ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a sharp, experienced Treasury Control & Reconciliation Officer to join our global team.
You'll be the primary control layer for all treasury operations at Nilos, responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of every financial position across trading, banking, and treasury.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of treasury operations, financial services, and technology, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is excited to reinvent how reconciliation and payments work today.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
📊 Trade Reconciliation • Reconcile all executed trades daily (OTC and in-app) • Investigate and resolve trade breaks within agreed SLAs • Maintain complete, auditable reconciliation logs per trade and counterparty • Liaise with traders, ops, and external counterparties on disputed transactions • Ensure timely settlement and escalate any failures or pending positions
🏦 Banking Position Reconciliation • Reconcile all Nilos bank positions daily across operating and treasury accounts • Prepare and maintain the daily cash position report • Reconcile inter-entity and inter-company transfers across all legal entities • Coordinate with banking partners on statements and discrepancies
🛡️ Compliance & Controls • Design, document, and maintain treasury and reconciliation controls • Escalate control weaknesses, breaches, or unusual patterns to the Head of Treasury and CFO • Support internal and external audits with reconciliation evidence • Ensure compliance with treasury reporting and record-keeping requirements • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and exception management
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 3–5+ years in reconciliation, treasury operations, or financial assurance at a bank, financial institution, or payments company • Hands-on experience reconciling trading books, banking positions, or payments • Strong grasp of payments infrastructure: SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, card schemes, PSPs, virtual accounts, TMS • Familiarity with stablecoin mechanics (USDC, USDT) and on-chain payment flows • Heavy user of AI tools; advanced Excel / Google Sheets; comfort with reconciliation tooling • Exceptional attention to detail, an investigative mindset, and strong stakeholder communication • High integrity, proactive escalation, and a collaborative, cross-functional approach
