Job Overview
Hypersocial Shuttle Services is seeking a professional, reliable, and highly organised Transport Co-Ordinator to join our operations team based at Amazon in Observatory. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily transport operations, ensuring all trips are dispatched on time, maintaining driver attendance, and ensuring smooth and efficient shuttle operations throughout each shift.
This role requires strong communication skills, leadership ability, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and oversee all transport trips during shift operations.
- Ensure all trips are dispatched accurately and on schedule.
- Confirm sufficient driver coverage for all operational requirements.
- Maintain continuous communication with drivers and management.
- Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, and shift allocations.
- Handle operational issues, delays, and route adjustments efficiently.
- Ensure drivers comply with company procedures and operational standards.
- Escalate incidents, breakdowns, or emergencies to management immediately.
- Coordinate shift handovers and maintain accurate operational records.
- Ensure professional communication between drivers, clients, and controllers.
- Monitor MIS systems and operational devices where applicable.
- Assist in maintaining smooth daily transport operations for Amazon staff transportation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in transport coordination, fleet control, logistics, or operations management is advantageous.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Computer literacy and ability to work with operational systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Professional attitude and reliable work ethic.
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
- Knowledge of Cape Town routes and surrounding areas will be beneficial.
