Job Description
Boxer Superstores is looking for a dynamic and driven Trainee Buyer to join our Head Office team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment while developing into a Buyer role.
Job Purpose
The Trainee Buyer will work closely with experienced Buyers, gaining exposure to all aspects of the buying function. This includes supplier engagement, data analysis, reporting, and assisting with category planning, promotions, and stock management.
Duties And Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support Buyers with supplier negotiations and relationship management
- Assist with sales analysis, budgeting, and profitability tracking
- Monitor stock levels across stores and distribution centres
- Contribute to promotions, adverts, and campaign planning
- Prepare reports, presentations, and maintain accurate master data
- Assist with product ranging, planograms, and category management
- Build strong internal and external relationships
- Support demand planning and store execution initiatives

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 1–3 years’ relevant experience
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and business acumen
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
