Role Description The Tour Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi. This role involves advising clients on travel options, designing customized itineraries, and coordinating guided tours and travel services. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling inquiries, providing destination information, preparing quotations, and managing bookings for transport, accommodation, and activities. The Tour Consultant will welcome and support clients before and during their trips, resolve issues promptly, and maintain accurate records of reservations and customer interactions. The role also includes building relationships with service providers, updating travel documentation, and contributing to the development of new tour packages.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Travel Consulting and Travel & Tourism to design itineraries, advise clients, and manage tour packages effectively.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to respond to inquiries, support travelers, and build long-term client relationships.
- Candidates should possess experience in Guided Tours to coordinate, organize, or lead tours and ensure a high-quality traveler experience.
- Relevant qualifications in tourism, hospitality, business, or a related field are beneficial.
- Knowledge of regional and international destinations, travel regulations, and booking systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English; additional local or international languages are an asset.
- Previous experience in a travel agency, tour operator, or hospitality environment is preferred.
