Role Overview
We are looking for Textile & Soft Goods Technical Inspectors to verify the quality of soft goods manufactured to contract specifications. Working directly on the production floor, you will inspect fabric, construction quality, hardware compliance, and packaging across a range of product categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify fabric composition, weight, and specification compliance
- Inspect seam integrity, stitching density, and construction quality
- Verify functional treatments and conduct basic functional checks
- Inspect hardware components including closures, fasteners, and webbing against specifications
- Coordinate materials and tensile testing with the Lab & Testing Coordinator
- Verify packaging, labelling, and marking against contractual requirements
- Document non-conformances with photographic evidence
Requirements
- Background in textile manufacturing QA, apparel production, or soft goods inspection
- Technical knowledge of fabric specifications, construction standards, and materials testing
- Experience with AQL sampling and batch inspection in a production environment
- Attention to detail and consistent documentation habits
- Ability to work extended shifts in a factory environment
Additional Notes
Candidates with experience in contract manufacturing inspection, export garment QA, or outdoor and technical goods production are encouraged to apply.
This role is based in South Africa. Successful candidates will be required to travel to and deploy at international manufacturing sites as directed. Travel, accommodation, and deployment costs are covered by the employer.
Pay: R20 000,00 – R40 000,00 per month
