Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Telecommunications Engineer role based in Damanhour. The Telecommunications Engineer will design, configure, and optimize telecommunications systems to support cellular network performance and reliability. Daily responsibilities include installing and maintaining telecom equipment, monitoring network performance, diagnosing faults, and implementing corrective actions. The role involves providing technical support to internal teams and customers, documenting configurations and changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support projects and upgrades. The engineer will also participate in site surveys, testing, and commissioning of new solutions, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Telecommunications Systems, including cellular network components and related infrastructure.
- Experience in Network Design, including planning, configuration, and optimization of telecom networks.
- Hands-on skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for telecom and network equipment.
- Familiarity with Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and their integration into telecom networks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, specifications, and standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work on-site, visit field locations as needed, and support occasional off-hours interventions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in the MEA telecom sector and exposure to power management solutions for telecom sites is an advantage.
