SUMMARY:
TECHNICIAN
Must be an Automotive Qualified Technician:
- Diagnose, repair, and service vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and fault-finding on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Conduct repairs efficiently and within allocated flat-rate times.
- Identify additional repair requirements and report to Workshop Foreman for authorization.
- Ensure accurate completion of job cards, including work carried out and parts used.
- Order and fit correct replacement parts and components.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and computer systems to identify vehicle faults.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all workshop safety procedures and company policies are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and workshop work areas.
- Properly care for and maintain workshop tools and equipment.
- Assist in mentoring and supporting apprentices and junior technicians.
- Ensure all removed parts and components are stored and handled correctly.
- Build and maintain professional working relationships within the workshop team.
- Adhere to manufacturer technical standards and repair procedures.
POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- Red Seal Trade Certificate.
- Valid South African driver’s licence.
- Computer literate.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Previous dealership experience is a must
