GCI is looking for a technical trainer able to train on financial products and providers or assist with Class of Business / Regulatory Exam preparation. Specialise in a certain type of technology and can explain complex concepts in simpler terms. The goal is to provide new and current employees with the technical knowledge and “know how” to ensure employees are competent, compliant, and operationally effective in the use of investment platforms, workflows, and support processes. Providing refresher training and curriculum as necessary for business operations. Design or conduct work-related training and development programs to improve individual skills and organizational performance. Analyse organizational training needs or evaluate training effectiveness and identify gaps.

· Collect information related to work procedures, workflow, system usage and reports.

· Design technical training programs according to the needs of an organisation.

· Track the progress of employees, evaluate the performance of employees and give your feedback.

· Create surveys to evaluate a company’s training requirements

· Develop new training programs to ensure process improvements are embedded in the employees

· Design training materials like guides and presentations to ensure that employees perform on the level required

· Oversee employees as they implement their technical skills

· Administer tests to analyse the effectiveness of current training programs

· Collaborate with Head of Client Services and Support and HR to obtain and deliver necessary training resources

Qualification and Experience requirements:

· Matric

· NQF 5 Financial Planning

· RE5 and COB (this technical role covers Wealth, Health, Short Term and Employee Benefits)

· Demonstrated understanding of:

o Collective Investment Schemes (CIS)

o Linked Investment Service Providers (LISP’s)

o Discretionary Fund Managers (DFM’s)

o Product providers (Life, LISP, platform based)

· Knowledge of providers in financial services and their relevant requirements

· IT skills: Expert knowledge of Xplan and FSP Hub or similar CRMs; proficient in Windows, MS Office and task management software (e.g. Monday.com). Knowledge and experience with training software, video and presentation software

· Communication: Mut be able to communicate clearly and have excellent presentation skills

· Patience: Must be patient in the challenges for employees to learn technical concepts, providing support and guidance to learning outcomes

· Adaptability: Must be able to learn how to use new technologies before teaching them and revise training programs when there are opportunities for them to be more effective.

· Must have at least 5-8 Years experience in the Investment / Financial Services Industry, with direct exposure to:

o Investment administration and servicing worflows

o Wealth Manager support environment

o Platform-based investment processing

· Proven experience working with or supporting:

o LISP’s and investment product providers

o End-to-end investment lifecycle processes, including:

§ New Business Onboarding

§ Switches, contributions, withdrawals, and transfers

§ Corporate actions and fund changes

§ Regulatory and compliance touchpoints

· Advantage given for Employee Benefit expierence

· This must include experience in service delivery operations

· Should have previous experience in a similar role

· Should have a knowledge of effective learning and development methods

· Should be familiar with e-learning platforms and practices

· Should be familiar with online or face to face learning and development channels

Functional Skills:

Training and instructional design.

· Creating engaging and effective training materials and sessions that cater to various learning styles

· Use eLearning platforms and learning management systems (LMS) to track progress [Av1]

Curriculum development.

· Create training programs tailored to diverse employee and company needs. For example, your manager might create a sales training curriculum that improves negotiation tactics

Industry experience

· Insights into specific challenges and training needs, ensuring more relevant and impactful training programs

Knowledge of compliance training.

· Ensure their organization complies with legal and industry-specific training requirements

Learning management systems (LMS) expertise

· Efficient administration of online training programs and tracking of employee progress

Data analysis

· Evaluate training programs’ effectiveness by analysing feedback and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement

Pay: R30 000,00 – R32 000,00 per month
