Duties & Responsibilities
Operations
- Allocate and supervise daily work for artisans, handymen, and subcontractors.
- Conduct daily site inspections and plan corrective actions.
- Oversee maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure all planned and reactive tasks are completed timeously.
- Run toolbox talks, equipment inspections, and enforce OHSA compliance.
- Maintain organised workshops, stores, and maintenance records.
- Monitor inventory and request materials when required.
- Support technical projects and upgrades.
Service Delivery
- Maintain strong client relationships and uphold client house rules.
- Keep accurate documentation: warranties, licences, drawings, and reports.
- Manage contractor and supplier performance. Perform standby duties and respond to call-outs.
- Ensure monthly tool and safety inspections are filed in HSE records.
Customer Focus
- Respond to client queries and escalate when needed.
- Promote a customer-focused culture within the technical team.
- Resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Reporting
- Submit weekly/monthly reports to the Hard Services/Technical Manager. Ensure Help Desk updates are completed and outstanding calls monitored.

Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use maintenance tools.
- Basic welding skills (TIG, MIG, Arc) advantageous.

Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Trade Test (Electrical, Mechanical, Millwright, or equivalent).
- CMM or similar (advantage).
- 4–5 years maintenance experience
- 2–3 years in a supervisory role. Experience with HT/MV switchgear, generators, HVAC, plumbing, VSDs, and central plant systems.
- Knowledge of OHS Act and technical safety requirements.
