SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly driven and technically strong Technical Sales Technician / Sales Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role requires a proven sales hunter with the ability to actively pursue and secure new business within the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Warehousing sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mining equipment, mineral processing equipment, or lifting equipment sales, combined with the technical ability to understand client requirements and offer tailored solutions.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across engineering, manufacturing, and warehousing industries
  • Provide technical advice and solutions based on customer requirements
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tenders
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline
  • Report on sales performance and market trends

Minimum Requirements:

  • South African citizen
  • Proven experience in technical sales (essential)
  • Background in mining equipment, mineral processing, or lifting equipment sales (highly advantageous)
  • Technical qualification (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) or strong technical sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel
