Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and presentable Senior Technical Design & Sales Engineer to join our New Cairo showroom. In this hybrid role, you will be the driving force behind our "Engineering-Led Luxury Interiors" philosophy. You will not only create flawless technical details for high-end woodwork and cabinetry but also lead a team of junior designers and act as the face of the brand for our A+ clients, translating complex engineering into compelling sales narratives.
Role Description:
1. Technical Design & Engineering (The Core)
- Produce precise, error-free shop drawings, 3D views, and comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) for kitchens, dressing rooms, and architectural woodwork.
- Develop advanced technical detailing with a strict adherence to manufacturing tolerances ($pm$0.5mm), focusing particularly on solid wood mechanics, high-end hardware integration, and seamless jointing.
- Ensure all designs align with the brand’s minimalist, architectural aesthetic and standard configurations
2. Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Supervise, review, and approve the daily output of junior technical engineers and designers.
- Provide ongoing mentorship to elevate the team's drafting standards and ensure all production files sent to the factory are 100% accurate .
- Streamline the design-to-production workflow to eliminate material waste.
3. Client Relations & Showroom Sales (The Frontline)
- Welcome premium clients and interior designers to the showroom, providing an exceptional, high-touch consultation experience.
- Expertly explain the structural integrity, material choices ( solid wood vs. alternatives, high-gloss finishes), and internal hardware mechanisms that differentiate our luxury products.
- Translate client requirements into functional, aesthetic layouts, present photorealistic renders, and successfully close sales to meet monthly showroom targets.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, Applied Arts, or a related engineering field.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in technical detailing and manufacturing of high-end kitchens, Dressing, and custom furniture.
Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Sketch Up and architectural visualization tools. Familiarity with AI-driven design workflows for rapid conceptualization and rendering is a strong advantage.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of woodwork joinery, CNC manufacturing limitations, smart nesting, and premium hardware systems (e.g., Blum, Hettich, Salice).
Sales Acumen: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with a proven track record in high-ticket B2B and B2C sales.
Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, presentable, and capable of functioning effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with VIP clients.
