Role Description The Technical Office Engineer will work full time on-site in Qesm Helwan, supporting project teams with technical and engineering documentation. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with design and site teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. The role involves developing and updating Bills of Quantities (BOQs), assisting with quantity take-offs, and supporting cost estimation and variation orders. The Technical Office Engineer will collaborate with civil and electrical engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and maintain accurate project records. The position also includes preparing technical reports, maintaining documentation logs, and contributing to project planning and scheduling activities as needed.
Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in Shop Drawings, with the ability to review, coordinate, and issue drawings accurately and on time.
  • Proficiency in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, and cost support for tenders, variations, and progress claims.
  • Academic background or professional experience in Civil Engineering, with knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
  • Academic background or professional experience in Electrical Engineering, with familiarity in coordinating civil and electrical works.
  • Experience in Quantity Surveying, including measurement, cost analysis, and documentation control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Proficiency in engineering and office software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office; knowledge of project management tools is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary project environment on-site.
  • Previous experience in construction, contracting, or project management environments in Egypt is preferred.
