Responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership in the positioning, understanding, and adoption of the organisation’s products
across the business and distribution channels.
Ensures that internal teams, distribution partners, and external stakeholders are highly skilled, well-informed, and confident in the product offering.
Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of the products, features, benefits, pricing structures, and underlying technical design.
Act as a subject matter expert on product-related technical matters across the business.
Provide technical input into product enhancements, new product development, and strategic initiatives.
Lead, coordinate, and deliver regular product and related training to internal staff, distribution teams, and external stakeholders.
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality technical product training material across multiple formats (presentations, guides, digital content, and learning tools).
Continuously evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of training material to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and distribution needs.
Oversee the coordination, allocation, and resolution of technical product queries within the team.
Personally handle complex, high-risk, or escalated technical queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure consistent, accurate, and timely responses to all product-related queries.
Conduct ongoing research into competitor products, pricing, and market trends.
Produce competitor comparison analyses to support sales, marketing, and product strategy.
Provide technical marketing input into the development, enhancement, and implementation of new and existing products.
Collaborate closely with Product, Actuarial, Marketing, Compliance, and Distribution teams to ensure product initiatives are well-supported and market-ready.
Ensure all training material and technical communication aligns with regulatory, compliance, and governance standards.
Relevant tertiary qualification in financial planning, marketing, insurance, or a related field
Min 7-10 years’ experience in Life Insurance industry, with exposure to product, technical
marketing, training, or distribution support.
Experience in competitor analysis, product positioning, and technical support within a
distribution driven environment.
Strong understanding of life insurance product design, pricing principles, and specialised risk
products (Advantageous).
