Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Compliance Specialist to verify that specified product categories meet required technical and certification standards. This is a specialist role sitting at the intersection of materials knowledge, regulatory compliance, and supply chain integrity — ensuring that tested samples genuinely represent production output and that certification documentation is accurate and verifiable. Candidates must be technically credible, methodical, and resistant to supplier pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify product compliance against applicable technical and regulatory standards
- Select and control test samples to ensure the integrity of the testing process
- Monitor and maintain chain of custody for all samples submitted for testing
- Verify raw materials and components against approved specifications
- Oversee and witness product testing processes
- Review and verify certification documents against actual production batches
- Coordinate with accredited third-party testing laboratories
- Report technical non-conformances to the QA/QC Director
Requirements
- Specialist background in product compliance, materials testing, or technical QA
- Practical knowledge of relevant product standards and certification requirements
- Experience managing testing chain of custody and laboratory coordination
- Ability to identify material substitutions and non-compliant components
- Familiarity with destructive and functional testing protocols
- Background in regulated manufacturing or government procurement advantageous
Additional Notes
This role is based in South Africa. Successful candidates will be required to travel to and deploy at international manufacturing sites as directed. Travel, accommodation, and deployment costs are covered by the employer.
Pay: R40 000,00 – R90 000,00 per month
