Team Leader : Creditors – Nissan ERM

About the Role

The Team Leader: Creditors for Nissan ERM plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the creditors’ team. You will focus on ensuring efficient processing of invoices, timely payment to suppliers, and adherence to financial controls. This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the creditors team, providing guidance on best practices and developing team competencies.
• Oversee and manage the end-to-end creditors’ process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing any queries or issues effectively.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Generate and analyze regular reports on creditors’ performance metrics and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and resolve discrepancies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the creditors’ function.
• Support audits and ensure records meet requirements by maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a team leadership role within an accounts payable or creditors function.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and systems, particularly in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with team members and suppliers.
• Solid analytical skills, capable of interpreting financial data and leveraging insights for operational improvements.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
• High level of organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• A qualification in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Experience in an ERP system, specifically with Nissan ERM or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements in finance.
• Previous experience in process improvement or project management.
