Job Requirements:
We are seeking a hands-on, organized, and team-oriented Support Services Supervisor to oversee essential behind-the-scenes operations at our agritourism business. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating a diverse team supporting maintenance, parking, custodial services, and farm-related projects, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic outdoor setting, enjoys leading teams, and is comfortable balancing daily operations with seasonal demands.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, schedule, and support staff across maintenance, parking, custodial, and farm project teams
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused team culture
- Assist with hiring and onboarding seasonal and part-time staff
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations to ensure facilities, grounds, and guest areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Coordinate parking operations during peak times, events, and weekends
- Manage workflows and prioritize tasks across multiple departments
Maintenance & Facilities
- Ensure timely completion of repairs, preventative maintenance, and improvement projects
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper usage and storage
Custodial Oversight
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness across restrooms, public areas, and staff spaces
- Monitor supply levels and order materials as needed
Farm & Grounds Support
- Assist in planning and executing farm-related projects (fencing, landscaping, seasonal setup, etc.)
- Support seasonal operations such as festivals, harvest activities, and special events
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies
- Identify and address potential hazards
- Participate in incident response and reporting
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of supervisory experience in operations, facilities, agriculture, hospitality, or a related field
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Experience with equipment, basic maintenance, or farm operations preferred
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time position with weekend and seasonal peak availability required
- Outdoor, fast-paced agritourism environment with varying daily priorities
