Job Description
A leading organisation in the chemicals sector is recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to drive efficient, compliant and cost-effective logistics operations across South Africa and beyond.
Responsibilities:
This role is suited to a highly organised professional with proven experience managing complex transport, warehousing, imports and exports within a high-risk operational environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product availability, optimising working capital, mitigating operational risk and enhancing supply chain performance across road, sea and air transport operations.
Managing third-party transporters and warehouse partners and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with logistics governance and HSE standards and overseeing import and export coordination.
Supporting operational efficiency and leading incident investigations and corrective actions.
The role will also focus on stakeholder engagement, customer satisfaction, transport cost management and ERP-driven supply chain execution.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have an appropriate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
At least 5 years’ experience in supply chain and logistics operations.
Exposure to international sourcing, imports/exports, contractor management, ERP systems and hazardous goods transport will be highly advantageous.
Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills are essential.
