Job Purpose
The Western Cape Government, Department of Economic Development and Tourism has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render a Supply Chain Management (“SCM”) service for goods and services that incorporates demand management, acquisition management, contract management and logistics services.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 1 year administrative experience.

Key Performance Areas
Provide the following services: Demand management, Acquisition management, Contract management, Logistics and payments, Filing and database management; General administration.
Competencies
Working knowledge of the following: Public Finance Management Act; Supply Chain Management; Financial Management; Procurement prescripts. Skills needed: Communication (written and verbal) skills; Report writing skills; Proven Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Excellent report writing; Organising and Planning; Problem Solving; Analytical.
Remuneration
R 413 001 – R 486 501 per annum (Salary level 8)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
