Supplier Quality Engineer required for a reputable automotive company based in Rosslyn
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain supplier quality standards and requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, including defect rates and delivery performance.
- Lead initiatives to improve supplier quality and reduce production defects.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and ensure supplier readiness.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to supplier quality.
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years experience fulfilling a similar role within the automotive industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Quality or related field.
- Proven experience in supplier quality management within the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO/TS 16949).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in quality tools and software (e.g., statistical analysis, FMEA, PPAP).
