Grade 12, Higher Certificate / Diploma
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Inventory Control: Managing steel stocks, coordinating material flow, and mitigating stock discrepancies.
- Floor & Client Supervision: Assisting customers with technical steel specifications, and resolving queries.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, proper usage of PPE, and strict operation of cutting/handling machinery.
- Team Leadership: Managing staff, training staff, and overseeing performance.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of structural steel, tubing, flat products, fencing, roof sheets and special steels etc.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role within the steel industry retail/wholesale environment.
