Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Student Counselor (study abroad) role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Student Counselor will advise prospective students on suitable study abroad programs, universities, and courses aligned with their academic background, interests, and career goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining admission requirements and application procedures, supporting students through documentation and deadlines, and coordinating with international partner institutions. The role involves responding to inquiries, maintaining accurate student records, and providing ongoing follow-up and guidance throughout the application and pre-departure processes. The Student Counselor will also participate in information sessions, events, and outreach activities to promote BESA Group’s services and strengthen relationships with schools, universities, and families.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners in selecting appropriate study abroad pathways.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Education systems, preferably with familiarity with UK and other international higher education structures.
- Relevant experience in academic advising, study abroad counseling, or education consultancy is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken, and strong organizational and time-management abilities are expected.
- Comfort working with digital tools and CRM or student management systems, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
