Childline Gauteng is a leading organisation in the child protection space. Guided by our vision of enlightened children, families and communities, we work to facilitate and advocate for the rights of children enshrined in the SA Bill of Rights. We are looking for a passionate strategic partnerships developer/fundraiser to help us to raise funds to support our services including the 24hr toll free helpline, community awareness and training, counselling services, overnight safe house for children in need of care and protection.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Partnerships Developer/ Fundraiser to join a dynamic and well established management team. The role involves relationship building, securing financial support to ensure long-term sustainability, focusing on diversifying income streams through individual giving, corporate partnerships, and grants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fundraising Strategy Implementation: implementing a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Donor Cultivation: Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors. Experience with Individual giving, National Lottery, Government Tenders, Embassies, Trusts, International Donors and Goods in kind is a requirement.
  • Grant Writing: Research potential grant opportunities and prepare compelling proposals and reports. Compiling budgets and basic financial skills is an advantage.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute digital fundraising campaigns, direct mail appeals, and annual giving days.
  • Event Coordination: Organize fundraising events.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records in our CRM, analyse campaign performance. Advanced Microsoft skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in communication, marketing or business or equivalent
  • Exceptional Communication and presentation skills
  • Client relationship management skills
  • 5 years of experience in fundraising and development in non-profits
  • Organized, strategic and able to manage multiple deliverables
  • Tech-Savvy -proficient in CRM software and online fundraising platforms. AI knowledge is an advantage.
