Stock & Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate stock levels through regular counts and reconciliation
- Monitor stock movements (receiving, issuing, transfers, returns)
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies immediately
- Ensure correct stock rotation (FIFO principles where applicable)
- Prevent stock losses, damages, and theft
Receiving & Dispatch
- Verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Ensure quality and quantity checks are completed before acceptance
- Oversee proper storage of received goods
- Control and authorize dispatch of stock to internal departments or external clients
Documentation & Systems
- Capture all stock transactions accurately on the system
- Maintain proper filing of all stock-related documents
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements
Housekeeping & Safety
- Ensure store is clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Enforce proper storage practices
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
Operational Support
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams
- Ensure availability of critical stock items
- Support planning for stock requirements
Staff Supervision (if applicable and dependent on experience)
- Manage store assistants or clerks
- Allocate duties and monitor performance
- Ensure discipline and adherence to procedures
