Job Purpose
This position is responsible for assisting with ordering and receiving of goods. Issue of spares and equipment, tools on loan register. To keep the store clean and neat and to assist with stock take at month end.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure sufficient spares are available for engineering.
- Order stock.
- Loading stock on the system
- Issue spares, cleaning chemicals and other parts required.
- Labelling and merchandising stock.
- Maintenance of the stores.
- Might need do some clerical work from time to time.
- Ensure alignment of all work process to the required quality standards.
- Proactively identify continual improvement strategies.
- Action agreed quality initiatives.
- Implement corrective actions identified within specified time.
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and standards.
- Wear the required PPE all the time.
- Ensure the right safety equipment is available and use it in a safe and correct manner.
- Accountable for all safety equipment issued.
- Report all safety hazards, accidents, and incidents to relevant parties.
Experience And Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12
- 3 – 5 years' experience in a Workshop/ Engineering environment
- Driving licence Code B – minimum 5 years' experience
- Computer literacy

- Industry (FMCG)
- Food safety knowledge
- Safe working practices
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office with a strong excel knowledge, experience on C-works will be an added advantage
- Good management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Accuracy and high level of attention to detail
- Problem solving
- Numerical ability
- Experience as an Invocom Facilitator (added advantage)
Working Conditions
- Overtime expected from time to time
- Work with and on heavy equipment and plant (Mechanical)
