About the Role

As a Specialist: Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support decision-making. The focus of this position is on financial accounting and reporting, working closely with various departments to align financial goals with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, budgets, and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze financial data and trends to assist in forecasting and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance on financial matters, facilitating effective budgeting and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports while adhering to company policies.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial activities.
• Stay updated on current accounting regulations and developments to ensure compliance across all financial processes.
• Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven track record in financial accounting or a related field, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a recognized institution.
• Solid understanding of local and international accounting standards and regulations.
• Excellent proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• High level of integrity and ethics in handling financial information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accreditation such as CA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA is advantageous.
• Experience with ERP systems or familiarity with financial software that enhances reporting capabilities.
• Prior experience in the automotive industry or a similar sector will be considered an asset.
