Role Description
The Social Media Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kampala, responsible for managing and executing the company's social media strategies. Daily responsibilities include creating engaging social media content, planning and executing marketing campaigns, optimizing social media presence, and monitoring analytics to measure engagement and improve performance. The role involves regular collaboration with marketing and creative teams to ensure aligned messaging and brand representation across platforms.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Social Media Content Creation and Social Media Optimization (SMO)
- Strong Communication and Writing skills
- Experience in Social Media Marketing strategies and execution
- Understanding of analytics tools and ability to interpret social media performance data
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and ability to create visually appealing content
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in social media platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
- Experience working in retail or e-commerce is a plus
