Role Overview

The Social Media Manager is responsible for building and maintaining Ladurée South Africa’s luxury digital presence across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. The role combines content creation, brand storytelling, community engagement, and performance tracking to reflect the brand’s premium identity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Brand Storytelling

  • Develop visually refined content (photos, reels, stories) aligned with Ladurée’s luxury aesthetic
  • Plan and execute content calendars around launches, seasonal menus, and events
  • Maintain consistent tone, elegance, and brand identity across all platforms
  • Collaborate with photographers, designers, and in-store teams

2. Social Media Management

  • Manage daily posting across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
  • Schedule and publish content using social tools
  • Ensure all posts are optimized per platform (format, captions, hashtags)
  • Maintain a polished, aspirational feed

3. Community Engagement

  • Respond to comments, DMs, and customer queries professionally
  • Build relationships with followers and customers
  • Monitor brand sentiment and customer feedback

4. Campaigns & Influencer Collaborations

  • Plan and execute social campaigns (e.g. product launches, store openings)
  • Work with influencers, food bloggers, and lifestyle creators
  • Coordinate collaborations, gifting, and brand partnerships

5. Strategy & Growth

  • Develop social media strategies aligned with marketing goals
  • Identify trends (especially in food, luxury, and lifestyle content)
  • Monitor competitors and industry trends

6. Analytics & Reporting

  • Track KPIs: engagement, reach, follower growth, conversions
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports
  • Use insights to refine content and campaigns

Skills & Requirements

  • 3–5+ years experience in social media or digital marketing
  • Strong visual/content skills (photography, reels, editing)
  • Understanding of luxury branding or hospitality industry
  • Experience with platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook
  • Knowledge of tools (e.g. Canva, Meta Business Suite, scheduling tools)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Highly organised and trend-aware
