Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Social Media Manager role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Social Media Manager will plan, create, and publish content across key social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging. Day-to-day tasks include developing social media campaigns, managing posting schedules, optimizing content for engagement, and monitoring performance metrics. The role also involves responding to community comments and messages, collaborating with content and marketing teams, and staying updated on social media trends and platform best practices. The Social Media Manager will support product launches and organizational initiatives by aligning social media activities with broader marketing and communication goals.
Qualifications
- Strong social media marketing and social media optimization (SMO) skills, with experience managing multiple platforms and campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and writing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
- Ability to develop and execute content strategy aligned with organizational goals and brand positioning.
- Experience using social media analytics tools to track performance, interpret data, and refine strategies.
- Familiarity with basic graphic design or content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is an advantage.
- Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a social media, digital marketing, or communications role is preferred.
- Relevant education in marketing, communications, media, or a related field is beneficial.
