About the Role
The Slurry Machine/truck Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining specialized equipment used in the application of slurry seal to road surfaces. This role requires knowledge of road construction processes, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. This position involves operating and maintaining slurry seal equipment, ensuring safety and quality in all tasks.
Responsibilitie
- Operate and maintain slurry seal equipment, including slurry trucks, spreader boxes and related asphalt maintenance equipment
- Ensure proper calibration for accurate and uniform application
- Monitor material flow, application rates, and surface consistency during operations
- Prepare road surfaces by cleaning and removing debris
- Prepare, mix, and apply slurry seal materials according to job specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain records of materials, equipment, and project progress.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of experience operating slurry seal truck or similar equipment
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- High attention to detail and quality
- Must possess a valid, clean driver’s license.
The position is based in Botswana:
