Job Summary

Grow One LLC is seeking an experienced General Electrician to assist with the build-out of a cannabis facility in St. Cloud, MN. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position focused on electrical installation, wiring, conduit, panels, lighting, controls, equipment hookups, and general facility electrical support.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical experience, understands jobsite safety, and is comfortable working in a commercial or industrial construction environment. This role requires someone who can follow plans or instructions, work efficiently with contractors and tradespeople, and complete clean, safe, code-conscious electrical work.

This is a great opportunity for someone with electrical, construction, maintenance, or trade experience who wants to be part of a growing cannabis business. There may be opportunity for a permanent position within the facility once the business opens.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Installing electrical wiring, conduit, boxes, panels, breakers, disconnects, outlets, switches, and related components
  • Assisting with lighting installation, power distribution, controls, and equipment hookups
  • Running, bending, securing, and terminating conduit and wiring as directed
  • Supporting installation of electrical systems for HVAC, lighting, irrigation, environmental controls, fans, pumps, and facility equipment
  • Reading and following basic electrical drawings, layouts, panel schedules, or installation instructions
  • Using electrical tools, hand tools, power tools, meters, and jobsite equipment safely and effectively
  • Assisting with troubleshooting basic electrical issues during facility build-out
  • Helping ensure electrical work is completed safely, cleanly, and in compliance with applicable standards and supervisor direction
  • Moving, organizing, and staging electrical materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Working with contractors, tradespeople, and internal team members to complete build-out tasks
  • Performing general construction support, cleanup, and site organization as needed
  • Operating equipment if qualified, such as a forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, skid steer, or Bobcat
  • Following all safety policies, site rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and company procedures
  • Showing up on time and ready to work for early morning starts

Qualified applicants should have:

  • Electrical installation experience required
  • Experience with conduit, wiring, panels, breakers, disconnects, lighting, outlets, switches, and equipment hookups
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, circuits, grounding, and jobsite electrical safety
  • Ability to read or follow basic electrical plans, layouts, panel schedules, or installation instructions
  • Experience using electrical tools, meters, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
  • Commercial, industrial, agricultural, facility build-out, or construction electrical experience preferred
  • Experience supporting HVAC, lighting, controls, pumps, fans, irrigation, or environmental control systems a plus
  • Low-voltage, controls, automation, or structured wiring experience a plus
  • Forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, skid steer, or Bobcat experience a plus
  • Ability to work full-time, 40–50 hours per week
  • Ability to start work at 6:00 AM
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends or flexible hours if needed
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well with a team
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, bend, stand, climb ladders, work overhead, and perform physical work throughout the shift

Opportunity for Permanent Employment

This position is expected to support the facility build-out phase, with the potential opportunity to transition into a permanent role within the cannabis facility once operations begin.

Employment opportunity beyond the construction phase of this project is dependent on the employee’s ability to pass a federal background check in compliance with Minnesota law for cannabis employment.
