Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Skilled Laborer/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks on various projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from remodeling and restoration to new construction, utilizing your expertise in carpentry, fabrication, and site work. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project requirements.
- Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, and roofing tasks with precision.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and plastering to support structural integrity.
- Install fixtures, water damage restoration components, mold remediation systems, and perform renovation or remodeling tasks.
- Conduct heavy lifting and assist with material handling on construction sites while maintaining safety protocols.
- Support water damage restoration and other specialized industry projects by applying relevant skills such as caulking, stucco application, or flooring installation.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project planning.
- Proficiency in various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and woodworking.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical or plumbing systems; experience with electrical or plumbing work is a plus.
- Strong ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks such as tile laying or fixture installation.
- Experience in restoration industry projects including mold remediation or water damage repair; knowledge of the restoration process is advantageous. Pay: $20.00 – $40.00 per hour
