Job Description: Site Supervisor
To ensure the daily operations of the site allocated to you is managed efficiently in terms of the site
operations, machinery and people. This includes building an effective relationship within internal
and external stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set Standards and objectives for the team and measure their performance and
development.
- Build effective relationships with officials on site, internal and external stakeholders
- Lead a team towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals ensuring the site is in
peak condition
- Ensure compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines and be custodian of
such policies and procedures.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay daily.
- Co-ordinate the end to end production workflow for the product to ensure when loads leave
the site, it is checked and signed off effectively
- Ensure that shift and duty rosters are in place and working and that all employees comply
with statutory working hours and with the company’s leave and sick leave policies and
standards
- Schedule shifts according to production needs and ensure the employees are actively
present on duty
- Prepare and submit status, performance and attendance reports daily aswell as the
summary on a weekly basis
- Ensure that the proper flow of information and paperwork ensuring everything is up to date
and easily available
- Address issues i.e People machinery when they arise ensuring disruption to the operation
and providing creative and practical solutions
- Maintain a neat,clean,tidy,safe and healthy work area and comply with environmental and
occupational health and safety standards and legal requirements , such as ensuring that all
safety appointments are done , safety meetings are held,registers are maintained , safety
inspections take place, pre and post inspections on machines are done dailly , accidents and
incidents are investigated.

Job Knowledge & Skills:
- A good understanding of plant equipment
- 3 Years supervisor experience within plant equipment & transport industry
- Basic Understanding of health and safety
- Able to demonstrate experience in the management of staff and site management
- Technically incline i.e has experience in mechanical or electrical
- Good Interpersonal skills and ability to work within a diverse culture of staff
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
- Troubleshooting skills and excellent in problem solving
- Driven towards achieving production targets and upholding high standards
- Able to think off your feet.
- Fast learner
Requirements:
- Supervisor/Manager Courses
- Grade 12 National Certificate or Higher
- Valid driver’s license (preferably own transport)
- Minimum 3 years total relevant experience in a supervisor’s role
- Knowledge of plant equipment
- Basic Understanding of health and safety
