Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Site Foreman based in the Johannesburg. The Site Foreman will oversee daily site operations, supervise and coordinate construction teams, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include managing heavy equipment usage, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, delegating tasks effectively, and implementing maintenance and carpentry activities as needed to maintain site quality standards. The role requires hands-on involvement and close collaboration with teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in upmarket residential houses.
- Proficiency in Supervisory Skills, including task delegation, team coordination, and progress monitoring
- Experience with Heavy Equipment and equipment operation in construction settings
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders
- Knowledge of Carpentry and Maintenance practices relevant to construction projects
- Understanding of safety guidelines and the ability to enforce compliance to maintain a safe working environment
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenges on-site
- Previous experience in a similar Site Foreman or construction supervisory role
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational qualifications in construction-related fields are a plus
