Role Description The Site Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza, responsible for managing financial activities related to specific construction and development projects. Day-to-day tasks include recording and reconciling site expenses, tracking project budgets, processing invoices, and coordinating with procurement and site management to ensure accurate cost allocation. The role involves preparing regular financial reports, monitoring cash flow for the site, and supporting compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards. The Site Accountant will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and the central finance team to provide timely financial data, assist in forecasts, and help optimize project cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze financial data for project reporting.
- Experience in construction or real estate project accounting, including budget tracking and cost control, is highly beneficial.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate, organized financial records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with site teams, suppliers, and the central finance department.
- Ability to work on-site in Giza, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced project environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with local financial regulations and tax requirements relevant to construction projects is an advantage.
