The successful candidate will supervise staff on shift, ensure operational procedures are followed, and maintain company standards. The role requires hands-on supervision, adherence to health and safety, food safety requirements, and the ability to work overtime as operationally required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Ability to work Sundays, Public holidays and overtime when required
- Ability to work in a freezer/cold storage environment
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Safety Regulations
- Computer literate- Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
- Good health- Pass Medical Fitness examination
- Clear Criminal record
- Own transport
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse staff during shifts
- Accurately supervise the loading of the company’s refrigerated vehicles
- Accurate offloading of supplier delivery vehicles
- Ensure procedures, productivity, and company standards are met
- Maintain strict adherence and compliance to health and safety, food safety regulations, policies & procedures
- Support efficient stock handling, control, and workflow
- Assist with stock takes
- Assist with debriefing of company delivery vehicles when required
- Assist with discipline and performance management where required
