Service Manager – Boardshops & Retail Operations | Cape Town Jobs in Cape Town at Home Concept Furniture
Home Concept is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Service Manager to lead and support our Boardshop and custom kitchen retail operations in the Western Cape.
We are seeking a motivated, results-driven individual with strong leadership ability, operational experience, and a passion for customer service, sales, and retail excellence. Experience within boardshops, cabinetry, kitchens, manufacturing, hardware, or related retail environments will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate store and operational teams
- Drive sales growth and ensure achievement of monthly targets
- Oversee daily retail and operational activities across the Western Cape region
- Manage and consolidate weekly and monthly stock counts
- Support and maintain retail business models and customer service standards
- Provide basic technical support and assist with machine care and operational troubleshooting
- Assist with boardshop operations and workflow management
- Ensure accurate reporting, administration, and record keeping
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and retail partners
- Assist wherever required to ensure smooth business operations
Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (non-negotiable)
- Previous experience in retail, boardshops, kitchens, cabinetry, hardware, or related industries
- Strong leadership and staff management experience
- Sales and target-driven mindset
- Practical and technical ability; knowledge of board cutting machinery will be advantageous
- Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work retail hours and adapt to operational requirements
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and eager to grow within the business
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
