To teach Sepedi in line with CAPS requirements, ensuring strong curriculum coverage, credible assessment, learner support, and improved academic outcomes — with full professional compliance via active SACE registration.
Key Responsibilities (CAPS-Aligned)
- Teach Sepedi aligned to CAPS and Annual Teaching Plans (ATPs).
- Prepare lesson plans, term plans, and structured revision/exam prep programmes.
- Design and implement CAPS-aligned assessment: class tasks, formal tasks, tests, projects/practicals (where applicable), and exams.
- Mark, record, and report learner performance accurately and on time.
- Maintain CAPS-compliant subject files/evidence (assessment plans, tasks, memos, mark schedules, learner evidence).
- Analyse results, identify learning gaps early, and run interventions (catch-up plans, extra lessons, targeted support).
- Maintain discipline and a positive, productive classroom environment.
- Communicate progress with parents/guardians and contribute to learner support processes.
- Participate in moderation, subject meetings, professional development, and school programmes/events.
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Active SACE registration (MUST).
- Recognised teaching qualification (BEd / PGCE).
- Proven ability to teach Sepedi at high school level.
- Working knowledge of CAPS, ATP planning, and assessment requirements.
