SUMMARY:

Oversee the Mechanical and Electronic department and ensure that highest service levels are maintained

POSITION INFO:

Ensure that on a day to day basis, service levels are maintained in line with set out company standards.

  • Ensure that the mechanical repair board is updated – assigning repairs on priority
  • Ensure that highlighted technical issues brought up in the daily MBU meeting are attended
  • Ensure that technical issues experienced in the branch are tabled at the technical forum meeting held weekly- giving feedback on technical issues experienced in the branch.
  • Ensure that discussed solutions to problems, and updates are relayed to branch team
  • Assist with day to day and difficult technical
  • Ensure that team members are fully trained, and kept informed of product
  • Manage optimal relationships with the client base, ensuring that the needs of the client come
  • Maintain Warranty replace levels and assist staff with the authorisation of warranty
  • Monitor the usage and replacement of workshop
  • Attend to sites where required and provide field support to
  • Complete site visit report sheets, and ensure that all relevant documentation is
  • Ensure that the technical department maintains acceptable organisation and cleanliness in work
  • Maintain the highest level of Occupational Health and Safety standards

External Training

  • Fulfil the branch’s external training schedule and ensure that all training materials are up to
  • Assist with training for both internal and external customer events or sessions.
  • Stores
  • Assist with forecasting and maintaining the right bin
  • Help with product identification in the branch’s stores, and ensure that right product is in the right
  • Assist with training the store personal on product identification and product updates and

Internal

  • Assist with ad-hoc duties from time to time, such as product launches, training and internal
  • Oversee internal product
  • Assist with the day to day operations of the branch in the absence of the branch manager
  • Minimum of Occupational Certificate / Diploma Electrical Engineering Technician
  • (QCTO) – NQF Level 6 or N6 combined with 4 to 5 years practical experience
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of electronics and the ability to test, fault find and repair equipment to circuit board level
  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience in electronic control circuits and mechanical workings as well as repair of motors.
  • On-site experience would be an advantage.
  • Valid Driver’s License essential.
