They are seeking an experienced Head – Tax & Compliance to lead the organization's tax strategy, regulatory compliance framework, and risk management initiatives while ensuring adherence to all statutory and industry requirements.
Job Description
- Lead all tax matters, including VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, customs duties, and statutory compliance
- Manage tax audits, assessments, objections, and regulatory engagements
- Develop and implement tax planning and compliance strategies
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure valid licenses, permits, and registrations
- Conduct compliance reviews and strengthen governance frameworks
- Advise management on tax, legal, and regulatory implications of business decisions
- Identify and mitigate tax, operational, and compliance risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law, or a related field
- CPA (T), ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Tax & Compliance, with leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance
- Experience dealing with TRA, EWURA, OSHA, BRELA, TPA, and other regulatory authorities
