The Role
We need a Senior Developer who can own complex technical challenges while mentoring others and maintaining the human touch that makes great teams thrive. This is an in-office role at Canal Walk where you’ll work on high-impact projects for companies transforming their industries, using cutting-edge AI tools and practices throughout.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical implementation on complex features across our diverse tech stack
- Mentor intermediate developers and contribute to their growth through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
- Work directly with architects to translate technical specifications into practical, scalable solutions
- Champion AI-augmented development practices within your team
- Participate in client meetings, requirement sessions, and sprint planning as a trusted technical voice
- Balance technical excellence with delivery pragmatism—knowing when to architect for scale and when to ship iteratively
- Contribute to functional and technical specifications that form the foundation of our projects
What We Need From You
- 6-9 years of professional software development experience with demonstrated technical leadership
- Deep expertise in multiple technology stacks and architectural patterns
- Track record of successfully delivering large-scale, business-critical applications
- Advanced proficiency with AI development tools and the judgment to know when and how to leverage them effectively
- Outstanding written and spoken English—you’ll be authoring technical documentation, presenting to stakeholders, and representing Full Stack in client relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing nature—you build relationships, facilitate discussions, and create psychological safety within teams
- Passionate about the entire SDLC with particular focus on how technical decisions impact end users
- In-office presence at Canal Walk five days a week
What Sets You Apart
- Experience with machine learning systems or large-scale data platforms
- Background working in subscription-based development models
- Understanding of DevOps practices and quality monitoring
- Contributions to the technical community (writing, speaking, open source)
