Role Description The Senior Purchasing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Egypt, responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services. This role oversees purchase requisitions and purchase orders, coordinates with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, and identifies qualified suppliers to support production and business needs. The Senior Purchasing Specialist evaluates vendor quotations, negotiates pricing and terms, and monitors supplier performance to maintain quality, reliability, and compliance with company policies. Daily tasks include analyzing consumption and inventory data, optimizing order quantities, and following up on deliveries to prevent shortages or excess stock. The role also involves contributing to cost-reduction initiatives, process improvements, and accurate reporting to support strategic procurement decisions.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and purchasing best practices, with experience applying structured procedures in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in purchase management and purchasing, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract follow-up.
  • Hands-on experience preparing, reviewing, and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret cost, consumption, and inventory data and to support data-driven purchasing decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel) for purchasing and reporting activities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment; experience in hygiene, FMCG, or similar industries is an advantage.
