Senior Project Manager – Digital Banking / Payments

We are partnering with a global financial technology provider that delivers digital banking and payment solutions to financial institutions worldwide. The organisation is expanding its professional services team and is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex customer implementations.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of technology programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards.
- Proactively identify and escalate risks, issues, and delivery blockers.
- Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between customers and internal delivery teams.
- Maintain transparent communication through regular project updates and reporting.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Risk & Change Management
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage change requests and ensure structured governance around scope changes.
- Resolve project issues efficiently to maintain delivery momentum.
- Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams across technology, delivery, and business functions.
- Coordinate resources, assign tasks, and monitor project progress.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance project environment.
- Reporting & Governance
- Produce regular project status reports and documentation.
- Ensure project documentation remains accurate, accessible, and compliant.
- Maintain governance standards across delivery processes.
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of project management experience, ideally within technology delivery environments.
- Strong track record delivering large-scale digital banking, payments, or enterprise software implementations.
- Experience managing complex programmes involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools such as JIRA or MS Project.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
