Kalvia is building a future-focused vocational and workforce development institution, equipping young Africans with practical, industry-relevant skills through trade pathways.
We're preparing to launch our pilot cohort and we're looking for a highly driven Project Manager to own the launch plan and coordinate everything required to move Kalvia from pre-launch into successful implementation.
What you'll do:
- Develop and manage Kalvia's integrated launch plan, milestones and dependencies across the pilot
- Coordinate curriculum, facility fit-out, recruitment, partnerships and operational-readiness workstreams
- Drive stakeholder engagement, outreach and follow-up with partner schools, employers and instructors
- Track deliverables, budgets, risks and decisions across the project
- Facilitate working sessions and provide clear progress reports to leadership
- Hold internal teams and external partners accountable for agreed commitments
- Identify potential delays and proactively develop solutions
- Establish practical project management processes, tools and documentation for the Kalvia Pathway model
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
- Excellent planning, coordination and stakeholder-management capabilities
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, early-stage/pre-launch environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial judgment, initiative and a bias toward execution
- High attention to detail without losing sight of strategic priorities
- Experience in education, TVET/workforce development, consulting, construction, facility setup or startup operations is a strong advantage
This is not a traditional administrative project management role. We need a hands-on operator who can create structure, build momentum and take genuine ownership of getting Kalvia's pilot cohort launched.
