Procurement Manager
Role Overview
The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing strategic procurement approaches for spend across the organization. This role oversees the entire supply chain management value chain, including the management of tenders, contracts, and the facilitation of communication between the organization and its providers.
• Location: Head Office – Roodepoort
• Budget Responsibility: R7 Million Operational Budget
Key Performance Areas
• Strategy Development: Develop high-level procurement strategies, prioritize strategic initiatives, and entrench a customer-cantered culture using a business partnership model.
• Policy & Governance: Review and implement procurement policies, ensure operational governance, and manage the organization’s BBBEE strategy.
• Performance & Compliance: Bear accountability for overall procurement performance, monitoring market trends (pricing, technology, and supplier capability), and ensuring adherence to Quality, Safety, and Compliance standards.
• Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and mentoring to the procurement team, managing performance through IPAs and IDPs while fostering staff morale.
Minimum Requirements
Education
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related field.
Experience
• Tenure: At least 10 years of experience in Procurement, with a minimum of 5 years at a Management or Senior Management level.
• Technical Proficiency: Prior experience using SAP as an ERP system is essential.
• Sourcing: 3–5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Contract & Tender Management, and Supplier Relations.
• Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of Supply Chain Compliance, Category Management, and BBBEE.
• Sector Knowledge: Experience in the Health Sector and knowledge of King IV Governance is highly preferred.

Special Requirements
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally, including overnight stays.
