Senior NPD Technologist Jobs in Epping at Exim International
This role is ideal for a passionate and experienced food scientist/technologist looking to lead and innovate in new product development (NPD). You will be responsible for the entire NPD process, from concept creation to commercialisation, ensuring products meet market needs and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the NPD project portfolio, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life.
- Oversee all stages of the NPD process, adhering to timelines and cost targets.
- Source new ingredients, explore new suppliers, and stay updated on industry trends.
- Provide technical expertise on product and process issues, including troubleshooting and optimising shelf-life.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Mentor junior NPD team members.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in NPD, ideally within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of food processing principles and best practices.
- Experience in developing and testing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with fresh/processed meats, technical ingredients, seasoning and flavours
- Knowledge of packaging and labelling requirements.
- Experience with sensory evaluation.
- Regulatory affairs experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R25 000,00 – R35 000,00 per month
