PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To manage, direct and control HRD functions and activities to ensure that effective policies and systems are implemented and maintained as per legislation.
Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
- Grade 12/NQF4 equivalent is essential
- HRD/Education/HR Diploma /Degree or NQF equivalent is essential
- 4-6 Relevant working experience in HRD is essential
- 2-4 Relevant experience as a Training Officer is essential
- Must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- General HR & OD knowledge
- HRD knowledge and trends
- Legislation – Skills Development, Mining Charter, MHSA/ BBBEE
- ISO 9001
- MQA accreditation requirement
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- SAP
- Good communication skills (Fluent in English)
Key Performance Areas
- Designs, develops and implements HRD policies and procedures aligned to the company's strategic plan and
- relevant to changes within Skills Development in South Africa.
- Ensures legislative compliance with relevant HRD and Mining legislation.
- Ensures appropriate involvement in line with the company's SLP, Mining Charter, BBBEE and Skills Development Act requirements.
- Implements and maintains effective management of information and reporting systems.
- Ensures that HRD benefit costs are within the business plan parameters.
- Manages and leads the HRDC department to ensure optimal delivery of services to stakeholders.
- Manages and effectively provides support to the overall HRD structure in line with compliance, systems and reporting.
- Implements and maintains policies and processes to ensure MQA training provider accreditation and ISO certification through regular audits.
- Supports and participates in change management initiatives to drive transformation and optimisation.
- Builds, supports and maintains healthy diverse internal and external relations and implements remedial actions where required.
- Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance.
