About The Job
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior General Technician to join our automotive garage team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring high-quality workmanship. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic system faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct routine servicing including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, engine diagnostics, and transmission repairs.
- Inspect vehicles and identify additional repair or maintenance needs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices.
- Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and to manufacturer and company standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years preferred) as an automotive technician.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work on multiple vehicle brands and models.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Leadership and mentoring ability.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in Automotive Technology preferred.
