Qualifications & Experience
- BCom Honours or similar degree is a must
- Must be computer literate with Excel skills on an Advanced level and able to model data for ease of analysis and interpretation
- Experience with working (input and output) with ERP/accounting systems and consolidation reporting applications
- Must have at least 3-5 years of proven experience in finance management, accounting, statutory/consolidation reporting and be ready to take the next step in further career growth
- Technically sound professional in Finance and Control
- Must be proficient in English as they will be reporting to South Africa.
- Previous experience in a multinational organisation would be advantageous
Roles and Responsibilities
- First contact of support in all aspects of Finances & Control within the subsidiary
- Preparation of periodic (weekly, monthly and quarterly) financial reports (i.e. month-end, cash forecasts)
- Managing full financial accounting function and pro-actively participate in periodic reporting both for statutory purposes as well as for consolidation purposes
- Analyzing and interpreting financial data and translating this into easy language for stakeholders
- Providing commercially sound financial analysis to support key business decisions for ad hoc projects, including cost-effectiveness, commercial viability, operational capability and financial audit/ controls
- Evaluate financial information to assess the company's strengths and weaknesses, develop strategies to reduce waste and decrease costs, and implement strategies to improve financial stability
- Collaborate with sales and regional teams to customize deal structures to meet customers' specific requirements, develop new business models to capture new business opportunities
- Identify, implement, and monitor internal controls, and ensure the effective implementation of corrective actions.
- Participation in budgeting/forecast processes
- Managing financial transactions
- Streamlining accounting functions and operations
- Coordinating and driving audit processes (which includes assisting with the drafting of financial statements)
- Managing year-end reporting and consolidation
- Full tax compliance
- Management of staff
