Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer based in South Africa to support our residential inverter and energy storage products.
The engineer will provide technical support, troubleshooting, installation guidance, and after-sales service for local distributors and customers, ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for residential solar inverters and energy storage systems
- Assist distributors and installers with product installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Handle after-sales service cases, including fault diagnosis and solution implementation
- Provide technical training to local partners, installers, and customers
- Collect and report product feedback and market insights to the headquarters technical team
- Support local service network development and improve service efficiency
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related technical field
- 3+ years experience in solar inverter, energy storage, UPS, or power electronics industry
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, residential inverters, or battery storage systems
- Experience with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of inverter systems
- Good communication skills and ability to support customers independently
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Based in South Africa, willing to travel for on-site service
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with solar installers or energy storage distributors
- Familiar with residential solar market in South Africa
- Experience providing technical training to installers
